A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to check out some of the daily preparation at Fernie Alpine Resort, located in the Kootenays of southeastern BC. My day started long before sunrise, when I met up with groomer driver Blair Craig at 4 a.m. to see how they manicure the mountain’s immense terrain. My morning continued with some avalanche control work with the patrol team.
I was amazed at dedication mountain crews have to perfect the terrain for skiers every day.You can read the full story here:
And next time you’re out on the mountain, remember to save a high five for the on-mountain crews for their hard work.
Setting the alarm for 3 a.m.? Better than hitting the snooze at home.
