A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to check out some of the daily preparation at Fernie Alpine Resort, located in the Kootenays of southeastern BC. My day started long before sunrise, when I met up with groomer driver Blair Craig at 4 a.m. to see how they manicure the mountain’s immense terrain. My morning continued with some avalanche control work with the patrol team.
